Alexander previously played under Jets head coach Robert Saleh when they were both with the San Francisco 49ers. Alexander lead the NFL in tackles in 2016 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Still only 27 years old, it's clear the talent is there, it's just about being able to stay on the field. The Jets are banking on the being able to achieve the latter and in turn capture the former.

They'll need all the help they can get to improve on their Super Bowl odds, which stand at +15000, tied for third-worst in the NFL, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
