Odell Beckham has been in the news a lot of late. The star wideout is nearing a potential return to the football field after tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl, but still remains unsigned. One of the teams that has been connected to him a lot over recent weeks is the Dallas Cowboys. Sure, analysts and fans have pointed out the potential fit in Dallas, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has also kept the rumor going with a number of soundbites on the All-Pro wideout.
Odell Beckham Jr. Cowboys News
Recently, during a radio interview, Jones commented on the current Cowboys players doing some recruiting of their own with Odell. He even compared it to when his trio of star players in the 90s told him to go out and get Deion Sanders. And that's what Jerry did.
While Jones hasn't been to explicit about his intentions to actually go out and sign Beckham, he had surely made it clear that both he and his players are interested in having Beckham wearing a Cowboys uniform this season.
If Beckham is healthy, the marriage makes sense. The Cowboys have a solid receving corps, but it could definitly use an upgrade or some reinforcements. Beckham provides the former at best and the latter at worst.
That being said, Jerry and the Cowboys will have some competition from teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay Pckers and New York Giants, all teams who have expressed interest in signing Beckham.
