No stranger to enjoying himself, Jay Cutler has clearly been living his best life in retirement.
Even being quarantined during the COVID-19 pandemic doesn't seem to be dampening his attitude too much. He's even found himself an unusual new pet volleyball to help him get through the tough times.
Of course it doesn't hurt to be able to relax poolside throughout all of this. The career 35,000-yard passer retired as one of the highest-paid players in NFL history. With reported career earnings of $122 million, only 20 players (and 15 quarterbacks) in NFL history have made more than the former Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins quarterback.
Cutler made all that money despite struggling with interceptions and inconsistency over his career. In 2009 he threw 27 touchdowns, while leading the NFL with 26 interceptions — a stat that should keep Jameis Winston optimistic about his potential long-term earnings.
During a time when the sports world doesn't have a lot to smile about, it's great to see Cutler staying in good spirits and sharing some fun with his fans on Instagram.
