James Conner Fantasy Outlook Elite in Week 8 Matchup With Dolphins on Monday Night Football

Pittsburgh Steelers' running back James Conner's status for Week 8's "Monday Night Football" matchup with the Miami Dolphins was up in the air after he got banged up in Week 6, but a bye in Week 7 gave him time to heal up for tonight's game. That gives him an elite fantasy football outlook in a great matchup against the Miami Dolphins' defense.

Conner has seen consistently strong volume this season, averaging 16.8 opportunities (12.3 carries plus 4.5 targets) per game, despite the short night in his last outing. He's seen 15-plus opportunities in four of his six games, and he's only fallen below 10 PPR points once, averaging 16.8 per game.
The Steelers' offense should have no trouble tonight, getting Mason Rudolph back at quarterback after recovering from his concussion and drawing an elite fantasy matchup against the Dolphins.
Miami has allowed the NFL's most fantasy points per game (both PPR and standard) to opposing running backs, and their defense has given up the most points and third-most yards per game of any team.

Barring any late news of a limited workload, Conner has the potential to be one of Week 8's top fantasy football running backs. He sits at RB4 in our Week 8 PPR fantasy football rankings.
