Ja'Marr Chase was the first wide receiver selected at the 2021 NFL Draft despite not playing a single snap of college football in 2020. Chase did put up one of the most impressive collegiate seasons from a wideout ever when he and Joe Burrow brought the LSU Tigers a national championship in 2019 though.

While we don't know how each rookie wideout will produce in their first season in the NFL, the oddsmakers' projections on FanDuel Sportsbook have Chase putting up much better numbers than his counterparts.

Ja'Marr Chase Projections

The latest odds on FanDuel Sportsbook have Chase's over/under for receiving yards in 2021 at 1050.5. That is a massive jump over the rest of the rookie class. Chase is entering the league on a team that was slated to pass more than any other prior to Joe Burrow's injury last season. And there is of course that natural chemistry that comes along with teaming back up with your college quarterback, especially one that brought about such fruitful returns in the past.

Jaylen Waddle, who was selected one pick after Chase in the draft has an over/under of 750.5 yards, and that's not even good enough for second on the list. That distinction goes to DeVonta Smith, the Heisman Trophy winner who was selected No. 10 overall and has an over/under of 800.5 yards.

Other notable rookie wideouts Rashod Bateman form the Ravens (600.5) and Kadarius Toney of the New York Giants (450.5) also check in way behind Chase.

It will be interesting to see how all of these rookies perform in their first season at the next level, but as of now, Chase's expectations are sky high.
