Jalen Reagor Injury Update Boosts His Fantasy Outlook
By Max Staley

Updated (5:10 p.m. EST, Thursday, Oct. 29): Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jalen Reagor reportedly will play in Week 8. This news does downgrade the fantasy value of the rest of the Eagles' pass-catchers a bit, but they shouldn't take too much of a hit against a very beatable Dallas Cowboys' defense. As for Reagor, he's best viewed as a boom-or-bust WR4 this week.

Quick recovery for the team's first-round pick.
The Philadelphia Eagles have activated Jalen Reagor from the injured reserve. The rookie speedster hasn't played since tearing the UCL in his thumb during a Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Rams. There's nothing concrete about his status for Week 8 quite yet, but he reportedly has a chance to suit up against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
However, the team does have a Week 9 bye, so it's possible Reagor won't see the field until Week 10. He's best viewed as a high-upside, speculative add if you can afford to stash him.
I’m told there is a chance that Jalen Reagor could return this Sunday night

I’m told the cast is off his thumb. He is catching balls. He is ahead of schedule in his rehab. Will see

Jalen Reagor Fantasy Outlook
The Eagles would sure like to have Reagor back, as their skill-position group has been decimated by injuries. Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert and DeSean Jackson will all at least miss Week 8. That would normally be great news for Reagor's fantasy outlook, but Travis Fulgham's emergence, combined with the looming return of Alshon Jeffery, does throw a wrench into things.
Still, he has shown enough be be on the fantasy radar if he's active in Week 8. Reagor caught 5 of his 8 targets for 96 receiving yards on the year before going down in Week 2. And everyone is fantasy relevant against Dallas.
The Cowboys don't even look like they're trying to play defense, surrendering a whopping 34.7 points per game (PPG). That's historically awful. The 1950 Baltimore Colts allowing 38.5 PPG is the worst mark in NFL history, and the 2020 Cowboys are not far behind.
If Reagor is active in Week 8, he'd be a boom-or-bust WR4, but he would have some real "boom" potential against a defense this bad.
Even if he's out, he'd still be a worthwhile stash if you have a bench spot to burn, especially given how well the rest of the rookie wide receiver class has performed around the league this season.
