After opening with the third-best odds to take home the 2019 Heisman Trophy, Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts has recently seen his odds plummet on FanDuel Sportsbook. He opened at +1100 in mid-April, but now sits at +2000.

While Hurts has seen his odds drop, Clemson's Trevor Lawrence is trending in the opposite direction and is now the favorite at +200. Lawrence, of course, led Clemson to a 44-16 win over the Alabama Crimson Tide in last year's National Championship game as a true freshman.

The quarterback that Lawrence beat in that game was Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa, who now has the second-best odds in win the Heisman at +350. Tua, who is the seemingly the main reason Hurts transferred from Alabama to Oklahoma, finished second in the Heisman voting to Kyler Murray last season, narrowly losing 2,167 points to 1,871.

And Hurts now has the opportunity to make history as the starting quarterback at Oklahoma. If he overcomes the odds to win the Heisman Trophy, the Sooners would be the first school to have three different players win the award in consecutive years. After dropping to 20-to-1 odds, it seems like the graduate transfer has his work cut out for him as we head into the 2019 college football season.
