To say that the Los Angeles Dodgers are red hot right now doesn't exactly paint the whole picture. They've pretty much been on fire since the season began. Los Angeles is pacing the MLB with a 24-9 record, and the Dodgers are a dominant 8-2 over their last 10 games.

But the Dodgers aren't just beating opponents – they're flat-out demolishing teams. In fact, they're essentially lapping the rest of the field in this one key stat.

Los Angeles currently boasts a plus-86 run differential through 33 games played. The second-place spot in that category is a tie between the Oakland Athletics and Chicago White Sox (plus-41).

The 45-run gap between the Dodgers and the rest of the league is equivalent the difference between the second-place White Sox and 17th-place Philadelphia Phillies (minus-4). That's absolutely wild.

Perhaps it shouldn't come as too much of a shock that the organization with a $159 million base salary pay roll is dominating the rest of the field. But even the most optimistic of Dodgers fans couldn't have seen the team playing this well.

Unsurprisingly, Los Angeles is the sole favorite to win the 2020 World Series, with +380 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
