The Buffalo Bills appear poised to dethrone the New England Patriots in the AFC East this season. Sitting at 9-3 and preparing for a Week 14 matchup against the 11-1 Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bills have a chance to clinch a playoff berth.

With a win against the Steelers, along with losses by the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders, and New England Patriots, the Bills will secure a ticket to the postseason. Not exactly a sure thing, but it shows how close they are to punching another postseason ticket.

This is the time of year where the playoff picture really starts to take shape. A win or a loss from any of the teams in contention can change the landscape from week to week. The Bills are in great shape, and as long as they continue to play the way they have all season, even if a playoff berth doesn't come to fruition in Week 14, it probably won't be long before they lock it down in one of the following weeks.

The Bills currently lead the AFC East by one game over the Dolphins and three over the Patriots. The 8-4 Colts currently hold the last playoff spot in the AFC.
