Here's What the Buccaneers Offensive Announcement Means for Rob Gronkowski

Bruce Arians has proven to be an outstanding offensive coach over the years. his offenses have finished in the top six in the NFL for points scored and top nine for yards gained in three of the last four seasons.
He has no shortage of playmakers at his disposal with Tom Brady at the helm for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, and he's released the first hint at what the offense is going to look like.

For context, "12 personnel" means having one running back, two tight ends and two wide receivers on the field. This means the Bucs base formation can be expected to include Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Rob Gronkowski and either O.J. Howard or Cameron Brate, along with a running back.
This is big news for Gronk, whose role has been surrounded by uncertainty as he comes out of retirement to re-join Brady in Tampa.
Not being the only tight end on the field means he may not be asked to do too much heavy lifting as a blocker, leaving him open to run more routes. Having no slot receiver on the field also means that it could be Gronk that's asked to work on the kinds of underneath routes that Brady has favored throughout his career.
Rob Gronkowski Projections
FanDuel Sportsbook has released prop bets for some of Gronkowski's stats this season. The over/under for his receiving yards is set at 599.5, and his over/under on touchdowns is set at 5.5. Serving as one of Brady's top targets in the short passing game would give him a great chance at blowing away that yardage mark.
