There was a massive shake-up of the Heisman Odds this week as Chase Young, one of the favorites to win the award, was suspended indefinitely and will miss Saturday's game against Maryland.

Initial reports indicate that Young took a personal loan from a friend, which would constitute as an NCAA violation for receiving money as a result of his position on the team. Both Young and Ohio State are complying with the NCAA during its investigation.

The biggest immediate impact has been the creation of a three-way race at the top of the Heisman odds table. The current leader is LSU QB Joe Burrows who now sits at +160, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. He is closely followed by Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts at +280 and Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa at +300. Tua's inclusion on the list is especially impressive when considering he has missed multiple games this season with an ankle injury.

With Chase Young out of contention, then, it seems as though the race could hinge upon this weekend's battle between LSU and Alabama. The matchup of the number 1 and 2 teams in the country will go a long way to clearing up the playoff picture as well. When all is said and done, this game could end up being the most impactful of the college football season.

As exciting as that is, it's certainly a disappointment to lose Chase Young from the race. His season may not be over, but his pursuit of college football's top individual prize very well could be.
