The New York Giants came into the season with question marks across the offensive line, and things haven't been great during their 0-2 start. Second-year player Shane Lemieu was one member expected to make a jump, but now he won't have the chance to do that following season-ending surgery to repair a patellar tendon.
Shane Lemieux Injury Update
A fifth-round pick of the Giants in 2020, Lemieux was a versatile guard that earned himself playing time as a rookie and a starting spot in 2021.
With Lemieux's injury, Ben Bredeson has stepped into the starters role, a former fourth-round pick in 2020 of the Baltimore Ravens. Losing Lemieux is definitely a big blow to this offensive line, but they have no other choice to take the "next man up" approach and hope he'll be fully healthy to start 2022.
The Giants are 3-point home favorites against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
