Georgia-Bama Spread Takes Major Hit Following Nick Saban Diagnosis
By Zach Brunner

In one of the biggest college football games of the season, the Georgia Bulldogs will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide. While we are expected to see some terrific football in this matchup, COVID-19 has dominated the Georgia-Alabama headlines, as it has done with everything else.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban tested positive for COVID-19 and has been unable to be with the team. The past couple days have featured Saban attempting to lead practices via a Zoom call. Given this news, we have seen the spread take a major hit, with the line moving in Georgia's favor, with the Bulldogs going from 6.5-point underdogs to +4.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

While this is concerning news, Alabama fans got an optimistic update on Saban's situation. He told the media that he is not experiencing any symptoms related to the virus. He hopes to find a way to be back on the sideline for this big game.
This is great news, since the virus has been known to wipe people out, especially when they are older. Saban, 68, is dealing with it well and looks to be back sooner rather than later. However, he must produce three negative tests, including two within 24 hours, for him to be allowed on the sideline. If he can do it, expect to see the line move back in Alabama's favor.
