3 Low-Cost Free Agents the Packers Can Target With Limited Cap Space

Despite all of the drama last offseason, the Green Bay Packers came out in 2020 and proved that they are still a Super Bowl contender, and it looks like they will be for as long as Aaron Rodgers is under center.
That means the organization should still be focusing on filling holes with win-now moves in the offseason.
Ranking bottom-five in the NFL in cap space, however, there isn't a ton of wiggle room to make splashy moves.
That's why these three low-cost free agent options would be great signings for the Packers.
Packers Free Agency
1. Nelson Agholor, Wide Receiver
As seems to be the case every offseason, the Green Bay Packers should be in the market for a wide receiver. They can't afford to break the bank with a Kenny Golladay or Allen Robinson type, so instead they'll need to find a more under-the-radar playmaker. Enter free-agent Nelson Agholor. Agholor was quietly one of the league's most efficient deep threats last season (top-10 in catch rate on passes that traveled 20-plus yards). Marquez Valdes-Scantling has not filled that role the way the Packers want him to (30.4% catch rate on such targets), and Agholor would be a nice upgrade.
2. Josh Bynes, Linebacker
The Packers need some linebacker help, and their linebacking corps was especially weak in coverage in 2020. The 32-year-old Josh Bynes didn't have a great season for the Cincinnati Bengals last year, but he was outstanding in coverage for the Baltimore Ravens in 2019, earning a coverage grade of 73.5 from Pro Football Focus. He only commanded $1.65 million in free agency last year, and now coming off a down year he should be even cheaper.
3. K'Waun Williams, Cornerback
Even before Kevin King earned the spotlight for all the wrong reasons in the postseason, it was clear that the Packers' defense could also use an upgrade at cornerback. That's not an easy position to find cheap starters at, but there are still plenty of options to bring in some solid depth. K'Waun Williams posted a middling 64.8 coverage grade in 2020, but marks of 75.7 in 2019 and 73.8 in 2017 show he's got what it takes to contribute. Like Bynes, a down year heading into free agency should keep Williams' asking price low, making him a potential steal for the Pack.
