If you watch baseball often, you've probably noticed that players from opposing teams commonly chum it up at first base after a walk or single. What do they say to one another? Is it always friendly pleasantries, do players make jokes, is there ever some intense smack-talk between rivals?

So many questions, and luckily for us, Freddie Freeman provided a few of the answers during an interview on Intentional Talk. The Atlanta Braves' star is one of the longest-tenured first basemen in the league today, so he knows a thing or two about first base banter. Here's his take.

By far the most unexpected comment by Freeman was that he enjoys guys that smell good, and Rafael Devers is smack-dab at the top of the list. He even gave shout-outs to teammates Johan Camargo and Marcell Ozuna for their game-day scent.

There were some other gems from this spot too; like how Freeman and Ryan Zimmerman talk fantasy football, or how "you never know what's going to happen" at first with Joey Votto, but if you want to get on Freddie's good side just make sure to take care of your personal hygiene.

I'm sure many of us out there would agree with Freeman, the smell of some bad body odor is hard to shake, especially when you're trying to concentrate on a game that could send a line drive your way any second. At Freddie's first base, no distractions please, and use an extra squirt of body wash while you're at it!
