After a Week 14 bye, the Atlanta Falcons are kicking off an NFC South clash with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon. Injuries are a natural part of football and common occurrence on Sunday's, but not usually related to the coaching staff.

That's exactly what happened during pregame warmups when defensive coordinator Dean Pees was taken off the field following an unusual run-in with a Saints player.

NFL insider Adam Schefter first reported the news, indicated that Pees was actually carted off the field. An unnamed Saints' player "accidently ran into him" during warmups.

This is a situation worth monitoring. It's still unclear if Pees will be able to return to the sidelines before kickoff or by the end of the game.

For now, the Falcons are considered 5.5-point road underdogs per NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
