When it rains, it pours for the Dallas Cowboys this season. They thought things couldn't get any worse, but fans should buckle up. The offensive coordinator was asked about the status of starting running back Ezekiel Elliott, who is dealing with a strained hamstring, for this Sunday's game.

Regarding Elliott's status for the Week 9 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Moore said it is a "wait-and-see thing."

Zeke Injury Update

Following the injury to starting quarterback Dak Prescott, there has not been much to be optimistic about for Cowboys fans. Andy Dalton got a concussion and COVID, his backup Ben DiNucci is getting benched after just one start and now Elliott may miss the game.

Currently, FanDuel Sportsbook is favoring the Steelers by 14.5 points. With seemingly not much hope to win this matchup, the Cowboys may opt to hold Zeke out, in hopes he can recover and help them make a late-season push and win the NFC East.

Tony Pollard Fantasy Outlook

Should Elliott miss the game, Tony Pollard would be the next man up. In 38 rushing attempts this season, Pollard has ran for 149 yards and a touchdown. He has also added 12 receptions for 77 yards.

Undrafted rookie Rico Dowdle would also be a candidate for an increased workload. In a tough matchup against the Steelers, Pollard would be the only one with value, though he shouldn't be started any higher than a flex.
