Eagles Get Amazing News With Brandon Brooks Injury Update

On June 15, 2020, Philadelphia Eagles guard Brandon Brooks announced that he had torn his Achilles tendon, forcing him to miss the entire 2020 NFL season. Seeing as how it went for the Eagles, who finished 4-11-1, it's clear that the former 2012 third-round pick was missed. Fortunately, the team got some amazing news in his latest injury update.
On Friday, Brooks returned to Eagles practice for the first time in over a year. Judging by the smiles on his and his teammates' faces in a few pictures on the team's Twitter page, you can tell that his return means a lot to the organization.

Brandon Brooks injury Update
The truth is that the Eagles could've used Brooks last season had he not been injured. Philadelphia surrendered 4.1 sacks per game in the 2020 NFL season, which was by far the most in the league. Assuming the team wants quarterback Jalen Hurts to succeed, the Eagles are going to need Brooks and the rest of the offensive line to step it up big time.
Brooks was one of the best guards in the league the last time he played in 2019. Through 1,046 offensive snaps that season, he allowed just 2 sacks while taking two penalties. ProFootballFocus rewarded his efforts with an overall grade of 92.8, which puts Brook in elite company among the rest of the guards in the league. If he can get back to even 80% of that level, Philadelphia will have a better team because of it.
While it's always nice to imagine winning a Super Bowl, Brooks will have to help the Eagles win their division first. As it stands, the team has the worst odds to win the NFC East at +550, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Considering how those are far from awful odds, it's not out of the realm of possibility for Brooks to help the Eagles win their first division title in two years.
