The Miami Dolphins are working out OLB Trey Flowers, suggesting they're looking to add veteran leadership and championship experience to their defense.

A two-time Super Bowl champ with the #Patriots, Flowers was released by the #Lions in March. He just turned 29.
Flowers, 29, played for the New England Patriots from 2015-2018 and for the Detroit Lions from 2019-2021. He was a key defensive cog for the Patriots at the end of their dynasty, helping them win Super Bowls in 2016 and 2018.
The outside linebacker has dealt with injuries recently, however, playing just seven games in each of the last two seasons. The Lions released him in March, giving him a chance to latch on with another team.
If Flowers does end up with the Dolphins, he'd be returning to familiar territory in the AFC East. Miami currently has the second-best NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook (+450) to win the division.
