The Miami Dolphins are going to be shorthanded at running back in Week 9. The team officially announced it has moved Myles Gaskin to the IR, which will sideline him for at least the next three games.

But head coach Brian Flores also revealed that backup RB Matt Breida is dealing with a hamstring injury that's threatening to keep him out of Week 9 as well.

If both Gaskin and Breida are out, Miami would likely be forced to rely on Jordan Howard for the early-down work, while Patrick Laird should get most of the opportunity on passing downs.

But with Howard racking up just 14 rushing yards on 18 carries this season, Miami could be forced to rely on Tua Tagovailoa a lot more than it did in his first start. Dolphins fans should get their first real glimpse of what Tua is made of come Sunday.

FanDuel Sportsbook's Week 9 NFL betting odds have Miami as 3.5-point underdogs against the Arizona Cardinals.
