Diontae Johnson Fantasy Value Plummets Following Poor Outing in Week 9 Against Colts
By Max Staley

Hopes for Pittsburgh Steelers' rookie wideout Diontae Johnson were high in Week 9, as he was coming off the best game of his young career the week prior. Unfortunately, he's been shutdown by the Indianapolis Colts, hurting his fantasy outlook.

Diontae Johnson Fantasy Outlook
Johnson torched the Miami Dolphins' secondary in Week 8, turning seven targets into five receptions for 84 yards and a TD. Pittsburgh also moved on from Donte Moncrief following that game, which many fans took to be a sign that Johnson could be in line for an increased role.
Unfortunately, just about everyone had been doing well against Miami, as entering Week 9, the Dolphins were surrendering the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing WRs.
Steelers had big hopes for Donte Moncrief, and it turned out to be a very un-Steeler move that set them back. But Diontae Johnson has a great feel for the game, and his production helps offset the miss.

With just one reception (for three yards) on two targets against Indianapolis, Johnson's past output might've been a product of Miami's secondary rather than a sign he's about to become fantasy viable.
Additionally, with Mason Rudolph as the helm, it's hard to trust any of Pittsburgh's wideouts, as he's averaging 217.6 passing yards per game this season. That's simply not enough to sustain more than one fantasy viable WR.
