Dez Bryant may have shed some light on his future in the NFL and whether he'll be returning, following a season-ending Achilles injury suffered in his first New Orleans Saints' practice last November.
It all started with a tweet from Bryant about new world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz, and how he should be trending on Twitter. The tweet elicited a response from a fan about the 30-year-old wide receiver's future, to which the enigmatic wideout responded in poetic fashion.
Of course I’m interested in playing.. but to be brutally honest I’m dealing with something that’s more beneficial to my life...I stand strong on “I’m more than the athlete” I’m a father and entrepreneur that need way more recognition towards that matter https://t.co/jiguqnElcn

Bryant seems to be open to a return to the NFL, but specifically said, "I'm more than the athlete" while mentioning his family and entrepreneurial ventures. Dez has three children, sons Dez Jr. and Zayne, and a daughter, Isabella Rose.
The tweet comes a month after a positive report on Bryant's recovery, as he shared a video on Instagram of him running routes. He was given an eight-month time table after the Achilles tear, putting him on schedule for a potential 2019 return.

If Bryant does attempt a comeback, there is a chance the Saints will kick the tires on the soon-to-be 31-year-old receiver. Bryant may have lost a step or two, but he could serve as a big-time red zone target on a contending team.
Either way, we'll have to wait and see if Bryant is serious about hanging it up. But if this tweet says anything, we might have seen the last of Dez on an NFL field.
