Deshaun Watson Reacts to Texans Releasing J.J. Watt

The Houston Texans and franchise icon J.J. Watt are parting ways after he was granted a release from the team. At 32 years old and with a few years of high-level football still left in him, the move allows Watt to sign with a contender, as Houston is headed for a likely rebuild.
Watt's teammate, Deshaun Watson, reacted to the news on Twitter.
Salute to one of the Greatest of All Time @JJWatt I appreciate you for all the work you put in and more importantly the person you are. Any team in the league will be better the day you out on their jersey! 1OVE my brother! MORE Glory ??

Watson gave his teammate a heartfelt send-off, praising not only his work ethic but also who he is as a person. The two were clearly close and went through both the highs and lows during their run together in Houston.
Many are thinking that Watt will end up with his brother, T.J., on the Pittsburgh Steelers, while Wisconsinites are hoping Watt will make a return home and play for the Green Bay Packers. There's other dark-horse teams that could be a destination for the star defensive end as well.
Watt's release shows that the Texans are preparing for a new era. It signals that a Watson trade could be on the horizon as well, because there's no reason to send Watt away if this team expects to contend.
All eyes are now on Watson's possible next landing spot.
