The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off of a too-close-for-comfort win against the New York Jets in Week 13. The Raiders were 6-5 heading into that matchup with the hapless 0-11 Jets, but it took a last-minute fourth quarter drive, led by Derek Carr, to earn the win over New York.
Carr has been accustomed to bailing his defense out over the past few years, leading the league with 19 fourth-quarter comebacks since 2015.
That stat illustrates how much the Raiders have trailed in the fourth quarter during Carr's tenure, but it also speaks to his clutch instincts given that he's been able to deliver on 19 different occasions.
Carr has thrown for 3,027 yards and 22 touchdowns this year, all while accounting for just 5 interceptions.
The Raiders QB has helped put his team in playoff contention this season, with Las Vegas currently second in the AFC West at 7-5. Las Vegas even almost handed the Chiefs their second loss of the season in Week 11 after Carr threw a go-ahead TD with less than two minutes left, but the defense allowed Patrick Mahomes to storm down the field to steal the win.
