The Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles game hasn't even started yet, and they're already taking shots at each other.
Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence fired an opening salvo on Thursday when asked about Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts ahead of their Week 6 division rivalry clash.
Lawrence has a point. Dallas' defense has been extremely impressive this season, giving up the third-fewest points and seventh-fewest yards in the NFL. The Cowboys have not allowed more than 19 points in a game yet and just held the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams to 10 points in Week 5.
In Hurts' defense, though, he did have success against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4, who have yielded the fourth-fewest points and ninth-fewest yards in the NFL. Jacksonville's defense isn't as strong as Dallas' unit, but it's pretty close.
Lawrence can talk the talk, but he and his teammates will have to walk the walk against Philadelphia during Sunday Night Football. The Eagles are favored by 6.5 points at home on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, which may explain why Lawrence has a bit of a chip on his shoulder.
