DeAndre Hopkins Reveals Interest in Trade to Chiefs

One of the biggest stories ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft is the swirling trade rumors around veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. It seems inevitable that Nuk and the Arizona Cardinals will split this offseason, though his potential new landing spot remains murky.

If Hopkins has any say on the matter, it's clear he has interest in joining the Kansas City Chiefs.

In an interview with the "All Things Covered" podcast, Hopkins was asked about possible landing spots, but could only use his body language to respond. He didn't appear enthused about the New England Patriots or New York Jets, but he lit up when Kansas City was mentioned.

It's no surprise at all Hopkins would like to join the defending Super Bowl champions, though it's nice to get some confirmation after rumors had linked both sides previously. The five-time Pro Bowler would instantly gives Patrick Mahomes the No. 1 wide receiver he's currently lacking, and a Hopkins-Travis Kelce duo would present massive problems for opposing defenses.

Despite this pairing making a ton of sense, Hopkins' contract remains an obstacle to clear in trade talks. The wideout spoke out Sunday and said he's not looking for a raise in a since-deleted tweet, which could make teams more willing to deal for the veteran in the coming days.
