After seven seasons with the Houston Texans, people wondered how wideout DeAndre Hopkins would fair in his first season with the Arizona Cardinals. Well, it turns out he didn't need much time to adapt to his new team. Hopkins played in all 16 games in the 2020 NFL season, leading the Cardinals in receptions (115) and receiving yards (1,407) while finishing in a tie for the team lead in receiving touchdowns with six.

FantasyPros' average draft position (ADP) data has Hopkins as the WR4 ahead of the 2021 NFL season with an average draft position (ADP) of 20.8 across all players. However, his personal choices may affect his fantasy performance.

DeAndre Hopkins Fantasy Outlook

While Hopkins is typically a safe pick in all fantasy formats, he's been involved in a bit of controversy as of late as he's openly said that he doesn't want to be vaccinated against COVID-19. With the league encouraging all NFL players to get one of the available vaccines, this has led to Hopkins saying that he's uncertain about his future with the league.

If he does play through the whole season, most fantasy managers would love to have him on their roster. Hopkins has been one of the most consistent wide receivers throughout his career.

He's recorded 10,009 receiving yards since joining the NFL in 2013, which is the second-highest total during that span. His 60 receiving touchdowns are the fourth-highest total since 2013, trailing just Antonio Brown (72), Davante Adams (62) and Mike Evans (61).

In other words, even if he's being drafted at WR4, he has the potential to finish in the top spot.

That's why Hopkins checks in as the WR1 in The Duel's 2021 fantasy football rankings.
