David Montgomery Injury Update Boosts Week 10 Fantasy Outlook

The Chicago Bears will reportedly activate running back David Montgomery off of the IR list ahead of Week 10 Monday Night Football action against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
David Montgomery Injury Update
Montgomery hasn't played since Week 4 after suffering a knee injury that landed him on the IR. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported the Bears expect Montgomery to play on Monday night.
The #Bears are expected to activate RB David Montgomery off Injured Reserve to play tonight, source said. Not a surprise, as coach Matt Nagy said last week there was a good chance. Montgomery suffered the knee injury in Week 4, and should be good to go vs the #Steelers.

David Montgomery Fantasy Outlook
While Montgomery's fantasy outlook immediately jumps as a result of his activation, the Pittsburgh Steelers defense is not the most friendly front seven to return to. Pittsburgh posts a rush defense that allows the 13th fewest yards (106.0 per game) and fifth-fewest PPR points across the NFL.
Montgomery kicked off his third NFL season operating as RB11 across PPR formats. That included three rushing TDs, 358 yards from scrimmage and 6 receptions through the first four games.
It'll be interesting to see how much Chicago is willing to use their top running back in his return, but he's a viable starting running back each and every week. Montgomery's fantasy outlook is only hindered by his lack of a presence in the passing game. Damien Williams is the feature pass-catcher and leads all Bears running backs with 11 receptions on 14 targets.
Khalil Herbert was solid as an early-down runner, as well, and he averaged 4.3 yards per carry and notched two games with 97+ yards on the ground.
