D'Andre Swift Fantasy Outlook Rises With Expanded Role in Week 7
By Max Staley

Detroit Lions rookie running back D'Andre Swift is reportedly poised to handle an expanded workload in Week 7. The move makes sense, as the Georgia product is coming off a stellar 116-yard rushing game on 14 carries last week.
If Swift's role is expanding, he could be on the verge of a true fantasy football breakout down the stretch.

D'Andre Swift Fantasy Outlook
This news couldn't be coming at a better time. The Lions take on the Atlanta Falcons this week, and Atlanta's defense is a bottom-10 unit in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metrics. The Falcons are also surrendering the league's fifth-most points per game (PPG) on the year.
While Atlanta's run defense has been surprisingly stout (No. 8 in DVOA), the Falcons are terrible against the pass, sitting at No. 30 in DVOA. That could play right into Swift's hands. He profiles as Detroit's top pass-catching RB, seeing 20 targets to a combined 12 for Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson.
In what could be the highest-scoring game of the week, with a monstrous 55-point over/under on FanDuel Sportsbook, the potential for an uptick in volume could result in a huge Week 7 day for Swift.
The rookie's fantasy value should only continue to expand throughout the year if his role continues to grow as well.
