The Detroit Lions do not have much to play for during the rest of this season, having just gotten rid of their head coach and general manager. The team is also beat up, with wide receiver Kenny Golladay and cornerback Jeff Okudah both out for the Week 13 matchup with the Chicago Bears. Now, star rookie running back D'Andre Swift could miss another week.

D'Andre Swift Fantasy & Status for Week 13

Swift was out for the Lions' Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Houston Texans, missing the game with a concussion. Swift fantasy owners were happy to hear that he cleared concussion protocol earlier in the week. Unfortunately, Swift is now apparently sick and was downgraded from questionable to doubtful this Saturday.

On Thursday, Swift did not feel well and was sent home. He did not practice on Friday, with a non-COVID illness continuing to be the reason. This makes Swift a giant question mark for Sunday.

If Swift plays, fantasy owners know he is too talented to sit. If he is out, the Lions backfield will likely look similar to last game. Adrian Peterson led the backfield in carries, totaling 15 to Kerryon Johnson's 11. However, Johnson saw 47 percent of the offensive snaps, compared to Peterson's 27 percent, due to the receiving ability and game script.

With the Lions as odds underdogs again, the Lions are likely to play Johnson the most, assuming they are chasing points. However, neither running back is more than a flex play, given a tough matchup against Chicago.
