The 2020 NFL season was a rough one for Dallas Cowboys fans. The team was supposed to be the best in a long time, but a Week 5 season-ending ankle injury to quarterback Dak Prescott put those dreams to rest. As a result, the offense's production slowed down and running back Ezekiel Elliott had the least productive season of his career so far.

Fortunately, Prescott has been looking great at Dallas' OTAs, so it seems that his injury woes are behind him. Now, the 27-year-old signal-caller is sharing an exciting quote about Elliott, saying that he looks to be in the best shape of his career.

"Everybody’s seen the clips of him working out independently with his running back coach. His cuts, just how explosive he is. Excited to have a full year with him again and getting him healthy throughout the whole season."

Prescott also said that he believes that Elliott is the best running back in the NFL when he's healthy. That's pretty high praise and it's that sort of quote that could motivate the running back to have a bounce-back campaign next season.

While Elliott played in 15 of the Cowboys' games last season, he finished with a career-low 979 rushing yards and just 6 touchdowns. He also only had 338 receiving yards, which was his lowest total since 2017. Nevertheless, having his No. 1 QB back under center should help Elliott tremendously. After all, there's a reason why the running back recorded 1,700 or more total yards from scrimmage in three of his first four seasons playing with a healthy Prescott.

The Cowboys will need both Prescott and Elliott to be at the top of their game if they want to bring a Super Bowl back to Texas. Dallas is currently tied with the Tennessee Titans for the 12th-best odds to win a championship at +2800, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
