Fantasy football owners that were counting on Courtland Sutton in Week 12 got burned. He had just one reception for 27 yards as the Denver Broncos were blown out by the Buffalo Bills, 20-3.

Sutton drew an incredibly tough matchup this week. As a whole the Bills' defense came into Week 12 ranked ninth in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA rankings, and Sutton had an especially tough draw, being shadowed by Buffalo's top CB Tre'Davious White.

It's not that he wasn't involved in the offense, either. Despite his struggles, Sutton led the Broncos' with eight targets, accounting for 32 percent of the team's total share, while nobody else notched more than five looks.

One game of inefficiency doesn't create any long-term fantasy concerns, especially when his volume was still impressive. Another possible factor in his struggles was a minor ankle injury, but since he played through it all game, we shouldn't expect that to be an issue moving forward either.

Sutton came into the week ranked 12th among all wideouts in fantasy production. This week's dud performance certainly hurts, especially if you have been fighting for a playoff spot, but it doesn't do much to hurt his outlook as a solid WR2 option down the stretch in the fantasy playoffs.
