Jonathan Taylor is certainly experiencing a down year compared to last season. He hasn't cleared the 100-yard rushing mark since the first game of the season. Taylor has already missed two games thus far, and now it looks like he's in line to miss his third in Week 9.
Jonathan Taylor Injury Update
Head coach Frank Reich announced on Friday that Taylor would be out on Sunday, officially. Even with his struggles, missing Taylor will be a massive hit to a Colts offense that has struggled immensely this season, ranking No. 30 in the NFL at 16.1 points per game.
Without Taylor, and also now Nyheim Hines after his trade to the Buffalo Bills, the Colts will rely on Deon Jackson in the backfield, backed up by Zack Moss, who they received in the trade from Buffalo.
Jackson is a second-year back with just 100 yards rushing this season on 30 carries. He will have to step up big time in Week 9 if the Colts are to have a chance at generating any offense.
