College football's Week 8 lineup brings us some marquee games, featuring three top-25 showdowns headlined by No. 16 Michigan taking on No. 7 Penn State in Happy Valley.

Aside from Georgia's shocking upset loss to 20.5-point underdog South Carolina, most of the country's ranked teams handled business as usual in Week 7.

Here's a look at the three teams that need to be on upset alert, both straight up and against the spread, in Week 8.

3. No. 12 Oregon Ducks (-3.5) vs. No. 25 Washington Huskies

This game features two strong scoring defenses, with the Ducks (No. 3 in the nation) allowing only 8.7 points per game (PPG) and Huskies surrendering 19.6 PPG (No. 28). Current weather forecasts are also calling for a chance of rain in Seattle this Saturday afternoon, which could result in an even heavier focus on defense with the Huskies averaging 178.7 rushing yards per game and defending home turf in a close matchup, according to the odds.

2. No. 18 Baylor Bears vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys (-3.5)

Baylor needed everything they had to come out on top in last week's game, edging Texas Tech, 33-30, in double overtime. However, the Bears are still a perfect 6-0 on the season because of it, and Oklahoma State looked all kinds of disoriented after falling behind Texas Tech, 45-21, at one point in the fourth quarter in the Cowboys' most recent performance that resulted in a Week 6 loss to the Red Raiders, 45-35. The Bears also impressed in their lone Big 12 road battle on the season, handling a well-coached Kansas State opponent, 31-12, in Week 6.

1. Temple Owls vs. No. 19 SMU Mustangs (-7.5)

Second-year SMU head coach Sonny Dykes has his 2019 Mustangs off to the program's best start since 1982, sitting at a perfect 6-0 and ranked No. 19 in the latest Week 8 AP Top-25 Poll. However, that perfect record hasn't come without some serious close calls, perhaps, none dicier than the Mustangs' 21-point comeback win, 43-37, over Tulsa in triple overtime at home in Week 6. As for their Week 8 opponent, the Temple Owls have been perfect in their two matchups against top-25 opponents thus far, and they're fresh off a Week 7 win over previously undefeated, then-No. 23 Memphis.
