Heading into Week 6, Christian McCaffrey was the top-scoring running back in fantasy football by a wide margin. After scoring two early touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London, McCaffrey looks to extend his lead atop the fantasy RB rankings.

Christian McCaffrey Fantasy Points

McCaffrey had 128.6 standard scoring and 159.6 PPR points coming into Sunday's game, then he put up another two touchdowns during the first half of the Panthers' Week 6 game against the Buccaneers. These TDS mark his eighth and ninth scores of the season, just four behind his career-high mark for a season, which he set last year.

The only poor performance for the Panthers' workhorse came in Week 2 during the first matchup against Tampa Bay, but he topped 27.8 PPR points per game in the other four contests before today. It's clear that he has been Panthers' backup quarterback Kyle Allen's security blanket, seeing a lot of work through the air, as well as on the ground.

After ranking as the RB2 in PPR last year and RB10 as a rookie in 2017, McCaffrey has firmly established himself as the top back in PPR fantasy football this season. He is on pace to break the total yardage record, and he even has his name in the MVP conversation, making him a weekly must-start.
