Chris Godwin and Mike Evans have quickly become one of the most dynamic wide receiver duos in the NFL. Despite occasionally erratic play from Jameis Winston, both Godwin and Evans entered Week 12 as top-3 WRs in standard-scoring formats.
While Evans has gotten out to a bit of a slow start in Week 12 (no catches on three targets), Godwin has already hauled in all six of his targets for 151 yards and two scores.
Of course, one dominant half shouldn't change Godwin's rest-of-season outlook too much. He entered Week 12 as a no-doubt WR1 on a weekly basis, and this performance certainly won't change that.
It's also worth noting that Godwin is facing one of the league's worst secondaries in this matchup. The Falcons are the sixth-worst passing defense in the NFL, per Football Outsiders' DVOA rankings, and Atlanta has surrendered the seventh-most PPR points per game to opposing wideouts (37.8).
Entering halftime, Godwin still has plenty of time to improve upon his already-impressive game. Even if he doesn't catch another pass the rest of the day, this game has confirmed the fact that Godwin is an elite fantasy wideout in 2019.
