It's hard enough to play in a division with Patrick Mahomes. But it's downright impossible to beat his Kansas City Chiefs if you can't put up points against their defense. And that's been a real problem for division-rival Derek Carr over the years.

In fact, Derek Carr has been statistically one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL when playing at Arrowhead Stadium since he entered the league in 2014.

There have been 121 quarterbacks who have started five-plus games at any given stadium since 2014. The Raiders' franchise signal-caller has posted a 63.2 passer rating when playing at Arrowhead, which checks in as the fourth-worst rating in the NFL during that span. Carr is in some pretty rough company at the bottom of that list (DeShone Kizer, Blake Bortles and Brett Hundley).

As a result, Carr is 0-6 in his career at Arrowhead Stadium.

Of course, it's difficult to see things getting much better any time soon. This is arguably the best the Chiefs' defense has played in quite some time. Kansas City is currently the league's second-best scoring defense (surrendering 17.5 points per game), and checks in as the NFL's best passing defense in Football Outsiders' DVOA metrics.

Carr is going to need a Herculean performance to get the monkey off his back on Sunday. It's tough to see that happening against this Chiefs' defense.
