The NFC East crown has finally been handed out to the 7-9 Washington Football Team. An ending that almost no one in football could have predicted heading into the season, but that's what this past year and season have taught us.
Washington was able to come out on top of the division behind their tough defense and talented defensive front seven. Rookie Chase Young was a huge piece of that. Washington's Sunday Night Football win over the division rival Philadelphia Eagles earned them a first-round home playoff game against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As he left the field yesterday, an elated Young had a simple message for the 43-year-old quarterback – "I'm coming."
Young enjoyed a great rookie season, totaling 7.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and 12 QB hits. Putting pressure on Tom Brady has long been a successful formula against the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback. Young could be part of that success in the first round of the playoffs.
Washington is currently 7.5-point home underdogs against the Bucs next week, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
