Cardinals Get Good News on Harrison Bader Injury Update

It seems like Harrison Bader and the St. Louis Cardinals have dodged a bullet. The outfielder hurt his ribs by landing on the ball after a diving catch last night against the Chicago White Sox and had to leave the game. But manager Mike Shildt said the X-rays came back negative.
The organization will obviously be monitoring him closely on Tuesday. While he's not out of the woods quite yet, the fact that he avoided a fracture is great news for the Cardinals.
Shildt says imaging looks clear on Bader and will get more tomorrow. They’re confident there’s not a fracture but will double check in the morning. Injury did occur when he dove and landed on the baseball. #stlcards

Harrison Bader Injury Update
Bader hasn't been particularly effective at the plate this season, slashing .219/.301/.411 with 9 RBI. But when he does make contact, he has shown a good amount of pop, as 4 of his 16 hits on the year have been home runs.
Currently holding a slim 1.5 game lead over the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central, St. Louis can't exactly afford to be losing players right now. The fact that Bader appears to have avoided an extended absence is certainly good news for Cardinals fans.
