Despite playing just seven seasons in the NFL, C.J. Anderson walked away from the game with a Super Bowl title in his back pocket. Anderson spent most of his career with the Denver Broncos but has returned home to California for an awesome next step in his football career.

Only this time, Anderson will be doing it from the sidelines. The one-time Pro Bowl selection announced on Twitter Tuesday that he will be taking over as the head coach for the Monte Vista High School football team in Danville, California.

C.J. Anderson News

Anderson is no stranger to championship football as he actually saw three Super Bowl appearances, including the one victory in 2015. It's fitting that his high school coaching debut will be with a powerhouse football program in northern California.

According to NFL.com, Monte Vista is regarded as one of the best in Northern California. The news is especially fitting considering Anderson hails from Vallejo and attended the University of California, Berkley during his collegiate career. Through his seven-year run in the NFL, Anderson recorded 3,497 total yards and 22 touchdowns on 776 attempts in 71 career games.
