Byron Buxton Injury Update Is Huge Relief After Early Exit

Byron Buxton's tear to start the season has shown how much of a game-changer he is for the Minnesota Twins when healthy. The early AL MVP contender gave Twins fans a scare, though, when he departed Saturday's contest in the seventh inning with an injury.
Sunday morning's update on Buxton thankfully brought some much-needed good news.

Byron Buxton Injury Update
Buxton has been diagnosed with a "very low level" hip strain, according to The Athletic's Dan Hayes. It appears there's nothing serious to be worried about, which is a huge sigh of relief for Twins fans.
Health issues held Buxton back in 2021, but he's looked like his old self to start the 2022 campaign. He's currently tied for the MLB home run lead with nine dingers and has added 17 RBI while slashing .278/.342/.722.
Buxton got the day off on Sunday to rest up, but he should be good to go when Minnesota begins its next series against the Houston Astros on Tuesday.
