The Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary has struggled with injuries throughout the 2021 campaign, and that trend continued in Week 13.

Cornerback Jamel Dean departed from Tampa Bay's contest with the Atlanta Falcons early and was officially downgraded to out as he's evaluated for a concussion.

Jamel Dean Injury Update

It's unclear the potential length of Dean's absence heading into Week 14, but it's another headache for Bruce Arians and his staff.

Sean Murphy-Bunting and Carlton Davis both just recently returned from the injured reserve, before Richard Sherman landed himself on the IR as well. But now, Arians will have to face the possibility of Dean missing time.

Tampa Bay's secondary was a major factor in their 2020 Super Bowl title, holding Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to just 195 passing yards in the title game. The injury-riddled secondary has pieced together a decent campaign and surrenders the 13th-fewest passing yards per game (247.5) in 2021.
