After surrendering 331 passing yards and 4 touchdowns to the Los Angeles Rams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to turn things around in the secondary. Fortunately, Tampa Bay just got through one of the toughest stretches of its 2021 campaign and sees some mouth-watering matchups looming until Week 14.

Not only does Tampa Bay see 6 of their next 9 opponents hold losing records last season, but the current quarterback situations across those 9 games is far from intimidating.

This sets the table perfectly for a Buccaneers run and a statistical boost to the league's current second-worst pass defense (338.3 yards per game).

Buccaneers Schedule 2021

Tampa Bay kicks off this favorable stretch against a rookie quarterback Mac Jones, who ranks just 23rd in QBR (52.3). Then comes three straight weeks against a backup quarterback or young, unproven talent including Jacoby Brissett and the Miami Dolphins, Jalen Hurts, and likely Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears.

Week 8 brings a matchup against the team's former quarterback, Jameis Winston, who's red zone performance has saved a somewhat troubling start (60.3 completion percentage). Then, after a Week 9 bye, comes two more matchups against unproven QBs in Taylor Heinicke of the Washington Football Team and Daniel Jones of the New York Giants.

Finally, the stretch rounds out with Carson Wentz, who hasn't impressed so far with the Indianapolis Colts, and an aging Matt Ryan on a bad Atlanta Falcons team.

This next stretch of 9 games against a favorable schedule has the chance to make or break the Buccaneers' in 2021. It'll be interesting to see how many wins Tom Brady and his squad can rattle off before a Week 14 matchup with the Buffalo Bills.
