The Tampa Bay Buccaneers bounced back from their Week 10 loss in style, dominating the New York Giants in a 30-10 victory on Monday night. Despite the victory, Tampa Bay has been disrespected by ESPN latest NFL power rankings.
Heading into Week 11, ESPN ranked the Buccaneers at No. 7 after two straight losses, however, they were only moved up to No. 6 in the Week 12 rankings.
Buccaneers Power Ranking
What makes ESPN's ranking even more disrespectful is the fact that the Buccaneers are the favorites to win Super Bowl 56 at +550 odds, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Offensively, Tampa Bay has been the most dominant team this season, averaging a league-best 30.9 points per game. It certainly helps that Tom Brady continues to defy his age, leading the league in both passing yards per game (317.7) and touchdowns (29).
One thing the Buccaneers can improve on is their defense on the road. While Tampa Bay is giving up just 16.8 PPG (2nd) at Raymond James Stadium, it's surrendering 27.6 PPG on the road — sixth-worst in the NFL.
Nevertheless, the Buccaneers still have one of the most complete teams in the league when healthy. There's little doubt that they'll remain Super Bowl contenders throughout the season, regardless of what the power rankings say.
