The wide receiver position has not been a bright spot on the Las Vegas Raiders roster over the last few seasons. However, Bryan Edwards in continuing to turn heads at training camp. The second-year player could take a massive step up after posting 193 yards and 1 touchdown on 11 receptions in 2020.

Quarterback Derek Carr has been one of Edwards' biggest supporters thus far. In fact, he compared the 22-year-old's incredible body control skills to four-time Pro Bowler Davante Adams. That wasn't all Carr had to say about Edwards, though.

"I think also you see his strong hands. Sometimes he’ll catch a ball and he’s so strong that he doesn’t bring it into the body where they can punch it out, he’ll just hold it away from them."

It is clear that the opportunity is there for Edwards to take on a more substantial role on this offense. The Raiders lost their top WR last season in Nelson Agholor (896 yards) to free agency and remain thin on the outside. Edwards is likely fighting for a starting spot alongside Henry Ruggs & John Brown.

The former South Carolina Gamecock showed some flashes of potential in 2020 as he ended the season averaging 17.5 yards per catch. Edwards has built a reputation for hauling in passes with defenders draped all over him, which could come in handy this fall when facing tough competition.

The Raiders will look to keep their high-flying offense going next season after averaging 383.3 yards per game in 2020 (No. 8 in NFL). Las Vegas currently has odds set at +350 to make the playoffs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
