The Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended their 2020 campaign with an emphatic Super Bowl win and they'll look to end on a similar note this year. This loaded roster features talent across the board, and it'd be no surprise to see the Bucs limit their impact players in the preseason to avoid any catastrophes.
It turns out head coach Bruce Arians wants everyone to get a taste of game action in their first preseason tilt, including quarterback Tom Brady.
Obviously Arians isn't going to take ay major risks with his signal-caller. Brady could only play for "a drive or two," which is standard for star QBs.
Brady is no spring chicken anymore at 44 years old, and he's coming off of playing with a torn MCL throughout the team's championship run. The injury impressively didn't hold him back in 2020 as he racked up 4,633 passing yards and 40 TDs while going on to win his seventh Super Bowl ring.
Still, Tampa will be as cautious as possible with Brady leading up to their Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. He'll just get his feet wet in preseason action before being let loose to start the 2021 campaign.
The Buccaneers own the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl at +650, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
