The Denver Broncos suffered multiple losses on Sunday aside from their Week 4 game. Running back Javonte Williams is confirmed out for the season, and top pass-rusher Randy Gregory went down with a knee injury of his own in Week 4.
The latest update on Gregory is unfortunate news for Denver.
Gregory needs a right knee scope and will miss "several weeks", according to Mike Klis of 9NEWS. This is a huge blow to the Broncos' defense after he's made an immediate impact following his arrival this offseason.
Gregory has provided a serious threat off of the edge for Denver in 2022. He racked up 2.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, two tackles for loss and five QB hits over his first three games before going down this past Sunday.
The one silver lining is Gregory doesn't have an ACL problem. That would've caused him to miss the rest of the 2022 campaign, like Williams. It's still unclear how long Gregory will be sidelined, though.
The Broncos must now move forward after their major Week 4 losses. Making things even tougher is they'll play on Thursday Night Football, making this a short turnaround for Denver's players. They are still 3.5-point favorites over the Indianapolis Colts, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
