The Denver Broncos' already-disappointing season took a bigger nosedive by losing 16-9 to the New York Jets on Sunday. Any hopes of a Super Bowl parade (or even a playoff appearance) now seem like a pipedream as the Broncos sit at the bottom of the AFC West with a 2-5 record.

With Russell Wilson locked down until the end of 2028, the Broncos may label this season as a write-off. After all, the trade deadline is right around the corner on Nov. 1, so it's possible that Denver could be a seller over the next week, trying to pick up future pieces in hopes of coming back stronger in 2023.

Here are three Broncos that should be on the trade block ahead of next week's deadline.

Broncos Trade Rumors

1. Jerry Jeudy, WR

The Athletic's Nick Kosmider reported last week that third-year wideout Jerry Jeudy is a player the Broncos should consider moving. The 23-year-old hasn't been consistent enough to recapture his rookie season magic, averaging just 50.2 receiving yards while catching only two touchdowns in his last 17 games since the start of 2021. Though Jeudy's best days could be ahead of him, it's important that point out that he wasn't one of current general manager George Paton's draft picks. Sometimes, GMs prefer to have "their guys" on the team as opposed to those of a past regime, feeding more into the idea of Jeudy potentially being moved. With the flashes of brilliance that he's shown in the past, the young wideout could likely fetch the Broncos a nice return by next week's deadline.

2. Bradley Chubb, LB

Multiple teams have called the Broncos about a possible Bradley Chubb trade, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter over the weekend. The veteran linebacker is playing out the final year of his rookie contract and is slated for free agency this offseason. A former Pro-Bowler, Chubb is the perfect pass rusher that could give contenders a boost heading into the playoffs, much like Von Miller did for the LA Rams last year. Though it'd be surprising to see Denver move him, management might not be willing to meet the likely high demands of his next contract. The Broncos could franchise tag Chubb, but those situations can sometimes become headaches and that's the last thing they need after this season's on-field woes. Rather than losing him for nothing in free agency, don't rule out the Broncos trading Chubb by next Tuesday.

3. Albert Okwuegbunam, TE

Albert Okwuegbunam is a player that the Broncos wanted to see more out of this season. Instead, he's only been targeted 11 times over five games for seven catches and 50 receiving yards. He's fallen out of favor in the offense as well, averaging only 13.3 snaps in his last three outings. Like Jeudy, Okwuegbunam is also a draft pick of a previous regime, so Paton may want a starting tight end that better suits his vision. Given that the 24-year-old has yet to have a breakout performance with Denver, a fresh start elsewhere may be what he needs. With one more year remaining on his contract, perhaps there's another team out there that believes that they can rehabilitate Okwuegbunam into an everyday player.
