Broncos Disrespected by ESPN's Latest Power Rankings

The Denver Broncos' offseason headlines have been dominated by the starting quarterback battle between Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater. However, there is much more to this team than just one headlining story. Denver continues to be disrespected by its spot in ESPN's latest NFL power rankings.

That's good for third in the AFC and tops in the AFC North.
Browns are No. 7

Broncos News
The Broncos check in all the way down at No. 26, which is below a number of teams that performed rather poorly in 2020 including the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers. They are also currently ranked behind all three of the other teams in what has become a brutal AFC West division.
Denver's offense has the pieces in place to make some noise this season as No. 1 wide receiver Courtland Sutton is set to return. The team also selected running back Javonte Williams in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The former UNC Tar Heel racked up over 2,800 yards from scrimmage across three college seasons (34 games played).
The defensive prowess that the Broncos bring to the table is what makes this low ranking so unjustified. Headlined by veteran linebacker Von Miller (46 tackles, 10 for loss), Denver ranked No. 9 in the NFL with 42 team sacks last season and an average of just 10.2 yards per completion allowed.
When it comes down to it, the Broncos have an opportunity to surprise a lot of people in the fall if they can put it all together. Denver currently has odds set at +156 to make the playoffs and odds set at +4100 to win the Super Bowl, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Those Super Bowl odds rank well above the Las Vegas Raiders, with their odds set at +7500.
