Bo Scarbrough Fantasy Outlook Exploding as Lions' Lead Running Back

While Ty Johnson cleared the concussion protocol and is active for the Detroit Lions' Week 11 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, he no longer appears to be the lead back.

With Kerryon Johnson on IR, Tra Carson gone and Ty Johnson taking a back seat, Bo Scarbrough has stepped up as the Lions' top RB.

Scarbrough was signed from the Lions' practice squad this week, as Paul Perkins joined the long list of RBs that failed to make an impact in Detroit this season.

A seventh-round pick for the Cowboys in 2018, the Lions are Scarbrough's fourth NFL team, and he didn't have a single regular season carry before this week's game.

Inexperienced or not, he's making the most of his opportunity already, with eight carries, 38 yards and a touchdown in the first half. He's been dominating the volume available in the backfield, and Johnson had zero carries while J.D. McKissic had only two in the first half.

The Detroit offense is hard to get excited about with Jeff Driskel at the helm, and they've struggled to produce any sort of fantasy value out of the backfield.

A lead back in any offense is going to offer some intriguing upside, though, and Scarbrough is a player to keep an eye on as a possible waiver wire add heading into Week 12.
